The season starts with a pep rally at Hawkins highschool. We see Lucas, Dustin, Mike, Eddie, Nancy, Robin, Steve, and Chrissy at the school waiting for the basketball game. When the game starts, Dustin, Erica, Mike, and Eddie play dnd for the end of Eddie's campaign, and Lucas wins wins the basketball game. After the game, Eddie and Chrissy go to Eddie's trailer. When they get there Eddie is looking for the drugs Chrissy requested. She starts to see stuff like spiders, her mom, and her dad. When she runs away from Vecna, she is trapped behind a secluded door. Vecna kills Chrissy and Eddie leaves from the scene horrified. Mike and Eleven meet at the airport and Murray takes a cab to Joyce's house. The basketball team stays the night at Benny's and have hangovers. Max told Dustin that she saw Eddie run after a loud scream. Murray talks to Joyce about the letter she got in the mail and they come to a conclusion that they should call the number. Mike, Eleven, and Will go to the skating rink and Angela runs into them. The police question Jason because of his girlfriends death. Nancy and Fred go to the crime scene and she asks questions around the trailers. Jonathan tells Argyle that he got an acceptance letter for a different college than Nancy. Mike get told that Eleven gets bullied at school and she gets made fun of in the middle of the rink. Murray and Joyce calls the number using a VPN Just in case they get tracked. They get told to go to Yuri's Fish N Fly and to bring 40,000 dollars. Jason convinces his group that Eddie killed Chrissy and blames it on the game DND. Steve, Dustin, Max, and Robin find where Eddie would be hiding. Fred hears the clock and goes into the woods by himself. Murray and Joyce listens to the phone call and go get the money. Eleven hits Angela with the skate and Dustin, Steve, Robin, and Max finds Eddie. Vecna kills Fred and Eddie tells the gang what he saw. The military visits Owens and ask him questions about El. Joyce and Murray tells Mike, Eleven, Will, and Jonathan she has to go to Alaska. Eleven gets arrested because of what she did at the Rink O Mania and Joyce and Murray get on the plane. Max goes to Ms Kellys house for answers but takes her keys to her office at the school. Owens tells Eleven that she can get her powers back and Max finds out that she is targeted by Vecna. Max writes letters for her friends and Nancy and Robin question Victor about how he survived what killed his family. Yuri druggs Joyce and Murray to take them to the prison. Max's time ran out and Vecna is coming for her. Nancy and Robin help the group by telling Dustin that music is the key to escaping the curse, and she survives. The surfer boys group gets info on where Eleven is. Eleven is at Nina and sees that Brenner is alive. Hopper is upset that he was lied to and Max draws what she saw in the vision she saw. Eleven is inside Nina and in a memory. She has to do what she did when she was younger in order to get her powers back. Hopper tells Demitri that he thinks he's cursed and that he is the curse. The video store group goes to Creels house and Murray beats up Yuri and crashes the plane. Behind the Iron Curtain, a risky rescue mission gets underway. the California creww seeks help from a hacker. Steve takes one for the team. As Hopper braces to battle a monster, Dustin dissects Vecna's motives and decodes a message from beyond. El finds strengthin a distant memory. Nancy has sobering visions, and El passes an important test. Back in Hawkins, the gang gathers supplies and prepares for battle. With selfless hearts and a clash of metal, heroes fight from every corner of the battlefield to save Hawkins and the world itself.
