The season starts off with the party going to the mall to watch Day of the Dead.
Nancy and Jonathan go to work at Hawkins Post. Nancy gets a call that rats are eating
fertilizer so she brings Jonathan to the address she was given. They both see the rat
that Mrs. Driscol caught and when they leave, the rat explodes into a baby Mind Flayer.
Hopper gets Mike and El to seperate and he celebrates by asking out Joyce. Eleven and Max
become friends and go to the mall for shopping where they bump into the boys. Dustin heads
to the mall to see Steve to tell him about the Russain encounter he had on the radio tower
They get Robin involved and she figures out the first sentence, "The week is long".
they have a talk about it then Steve finds out where he heard the music in the background
of the recording. Billy kidnapps Heather to build an army. Max and El are having a sleep over
and they get the idea to play spin the bottle and spy on who it lands on. They are having fun
with her powers until they find out that Billy has Heather. Nancy and Jonathan go to Mrs.
Driscol's to get the rat for evidence because the hawkins post don't beleive Nancy. When they
get their Mrs. Driscol is eating fertilizer. Robin cracks the Russian code and they all
spy on the delivery guy for Lynx. They find out that there are boxes in a room that has guards
with massive guns around. Joyce and Hopper go to mayor Kline to ask him about the Russian
that left his room the other day. At the Hawkins Post Nancy and Jonathan are in trouble for
the Mrs. Driscol thing. They both get fired and they have an arguement on the way home about
why she kept going with her story. Nancy's mom Karen told her to keep going with the story
if she thinks she's right, so Nancy goes to the hospital to see Mrs. Driscol. The party
realizes that Billy is probably flayed, so they get an idea to see if they're right.
Robin, Steve, and Dustin figures out that the vents goes straight to the room they saw the boxes
so they get Lucas's sister Erica to go through them and to open the door for them.
The party is testing Billy by locking him in a sauna to see if the Mind Flayer comes out and they
were correct. Billy and Eleven have a fight and Billy runs away after getting hurt badly.
The scoops troop are going down an elevator and ends up in a Russian facility underneath the mall.
Joyce and Hopper go to Hes Farm and Hopper fights Grigori. They leave with a russian scientist
(Alexei) to Murray bauman. Nancy, Jonathan, and the party goes to Tom Holloway's house and finds
a crime scene. They go to the hospital and Tom and Bruce is there waiting for them. Nancy and Jonathan
both fight Tom and Bruce and when they kill them, the bodys combine together and become
a Monster. Eleven fights the monster with her powers and throws it straight out the window.
Its the fourth of July and Klines business man (Grigori) tells him he has one day to find Hopper.
Hopper, Joyce, and Murray is talking to Alexei to find answers on why the Soviets are opening
another gate. The scoops troop get split up, leaving Steve and Robin stuck in a room together
and tied up to chairs. They talk about their time together in highschool. They get drugged
to tell the truth, but they just laugh and say the same stuff. Eleven sees a young Billy by going
into Billy's mind. She sees his life and finds what she was looking for. Everyone that has
been flayed by the Mind Flayer are connecting with eachothers gooy bodys. The huge monster
goes to the cabin where the party is and it bites El. More bad guys with guns chase the Scoops troop
and Dustin finally talks to Mike after all those episodes. Robin tells Steve the truth about
her being gay. Hopper, Murray, Joyce, and Alexei go to the festival to find the kids.
Murray and Alexei go and play games in the festival and Alexei gets shot by Grigori.
Hopper fights the guards and Grigori in the festival and gets picked up by Joyce and Murray.
Eleven Chucks a car full speed at the guards that were chasing the Scoops Troop. She feels the
monster in her leg and it starts to hurt so she forces it out with her powers.
Everyone is together at the mall and they go over the plan to stop Billy and the Flesh
Monster. Hopper, Joyce, and Murray goes down to the Russian facility to close the gate.
Eleven loses her powers after her huge energy loss and the Flesh Monster arrives at the
mall. Murray is in the air ducks and the monster is looking for the party. Hopper and Joyce
don't have the code to the suitcase but Dustin knows who knows the number (planks constant).
Dustin calls his girlfriend on the radio to ask her what it is so he can save the world, but she
wants to sing. After never ending story, she gives them the number and they get the suitcase with
the gate keys inside. Lucas and Will fight the Monster with the fireworks they collected from the store
and Billy has El. Joyce and Hopper get to the gate and Grigori shows up and he and Hopper get into another
fight. Hopper kills Grigori and Joyce closes the gate. The Byers family and El move to California
and the season ends with a note from Hopper.
